Does my file have to be a PDF?

Yes. We only accept PDF files for printing. A PDF cannot be edited or altered, which means we will print your document exactly as you uploaded it.

Other file types, such as Word documents, can change depending on fonts, formatting or software versions. Using PDF ensures a perfect and accurate result.

You can easily create a PDF yourself. For example, in Microsoft Word, select "Save as PDF" or choose "Adobe PDF" as your printer.

Please note that we do not make any changes or corrections to your document. We print it exactly as supplied.

Do you print in colour?

No. All documents are printed in high-quality black and white.

Most customers use our service to read and use the text in their document. Photographs and diagrams will still be printed clearly and remain easy to view.

We focus on producing sharp, professional print with strong contrast, ensuring that all text is fully legible and images are clear.

Is there a maximum number of pages I can have in my PDF?

There is no maximum number of pages. You can upload documents of any length.

However, our largest spiral bind can hold around 400 pages (200 sheets). If your document is longer than this, we will divide it into multiple volumes at no extra cost.

This ensures your document is easy to handle, durable and comfortable to read.

What size will my document be printed?

You can choose the print size after uploading your PDF. We offer two options:

A5 size (5.8 in x 8.3 in or 148 mm x 210 mm) - Our most popular choice. Compact, portable and easy to carry.

A4 size (8.3 in x 11.7 in or 210 mm x 297 mm) - Twice the size of A5. Larger pages for easier reading, ideal for reference documents.

All documents are printed double-sided as standard.

Please note that we do not resize, scale or edit your PDF. We print each page exactly as it appears in your file.

How will my document be bound?

We offer two types of binding: spiral binding and perfect binding. You can choose your preferred binding type after uploading your PDF.

Spiral binding uses a strong metal wire and allows the document to lie flat or fold back on itself. It includes a clear front cover and a white card back cover. Spiral binding is the default option as it is the most durable and user-friendly.

Perfect binding is similar to a paperback book, with the pages glued into a cover. It also includes a clear front cover and a white card back cover.

For documents with more than 150 pages, we strongly recommend spiral binding for strength and ease of use.

What happens if I need a printed manual and don't have the PDF for it yet?

If you need a printed manual for a device, you can usually download a PDF version from the manufacturer's website. Simply save the PDF to your computer and upload it to us for printing and binding.

If you are creating the document yourself, you can easily convert it to PDF. For example, in Microsoft Word, select "Save as PDF" or choose "Adobe PDF" as your printer.

Do you keep my PDFs?

We keep your PDF for 30 days after your order is placed. This allows us to reprint your document if it is lost or damaged in the post.

After 30 days, your PDF is automatically deleted from our system.

What do you charge for postage and packaging?

Postage is calculated automatically at checkout. It depends on the number of pages in your PDF, the print size you choose, and the destination country.

Postage is not a flat rate. Heavier or larger documents may cost more to ship, and multiple documents in the same order will increase the postage based on total weight.

All orders are sent with tracking.

I'm in the EU. Will I need to pay taxes and duties?

EU customers can enjoy ordering with all taxes and duties paid at checkout. You will not be charged anything extra on delivery.

  1. All-Inclusive Pricing: For orders under €150 (excluding shipping), EU VAT and customs duties are included at checkout.
  2. Faster Delivery: Orders under €150 benefit from quicker customs clearance, leading to faster delivery times.
  3. Shipping Fees: Shipping is calculated separately and does not count toward the €150 limit.
  4. Customs Charges: If a carrier attempts to charge any fees on delivery, please contact our support at hello@printed-manual.com.

I'm in the USA. Will I need to pay taxes and duties?

No, all taxes and duties are prepaid.

Since August 2025, the United States has introduced import tariffs on all goods, regardless of value. We now ship using a PDDP (Postal Delivered Duties Paid) service.

This means all duties and taxes are paid by us before your parcel enters the USA. Our shipping price already includes these costs, so your order will arrive with no extra charges on delivery.

What rate of sales tax do you apply?

We do not charge sales tax on our products. Printed documents are treated as books and are exempt from tax.

Any taxes required in your country are already included in the price you see at checkout. You will not be charged anything extra on delivery.

How long will it take for my document to arrive?

We aim to dispatch all orders within 12 working hours. Orders received before 12 noon are usually sent the same day, while orders received after 12 noon are dispatched the next working day. You will receive an email when we begin processing your order and another once it has been dispatched.

All orders are shipped via Royal Mail. Delivery times are typically:

UK: 2 working days (including Saturdays)
Western Europe: 3 to 5 working days
Rest of the World: 7 to 10 working days

What happens if my document never arrives?

If your document has not arrived within 7 working days (or 14 working days outside the UK and Europe), please contact us with your order number and let us know it has not been delivered.

All orders are sent with tracking, so we can quickly investigate. If your document is lost, we will send a replacement free of charge.

Do you include an invoice inside the parcel?

Yes, we include a printed invoice inside every parcel. This is for your records and confirms the details of your order.

If you are sending the document as a gift and would prefer the invoice to be removed, please email us at hello@print-my-pdf.com with your order number, and we will exclude it.

Can I cancel or return my order?

You can return your printed document for a 100% refund within 60 days of delivery. Please include your order number and a short note explaining the reason for the return.

Can I order more than one document in the same order?

Yes. You can order as many different documents as you like in a single order.

You can also order multiple copies of the same document if required.

The size and binding of each document are chosen individually, so you can mix A4 and A5, or spiral and perfect binding, within the same order.

How can I pay?

You can pay using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal.

Depending on your location, you will be charged in one of the following currencies: £ Sterling, US Dollars, € Euro, Australian Dollars, Canadian Dollars, New Zealand Dollars or South African Rand.

Are my details safe when I buy on your website?

All payments are processed securely by trusted payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. These platforms are fully PCI DSS compliant and meet the highest international standards for online payment security.

We never see or store your credit or debit card details at any stage of the transaction.

We are also fully GDPR compliant and protect all personal information in accordance with UK and EU data regulations.

PO Box / APO address

Yes, we can ship to PO Box addresses, including those in the UK. All orders are sent by Royal Mail, which can deliver to PO Box and postal collection points.

We can also deliver to APO and FPO addresses used by the US military. Please make sure the address is entered clearly and includes any box, unit or reference numbers required.

Delivery times to PO Box or APO/FPO addresses may be longer than standard street addresses, depending on the country and postal service.
